Challenge #5 ~ Color Challenge
I whipped up some samples for a Basic Grey Origins Layout class that I will be teaching at Macpherson's Crafts in St Marys. I must say that the papers weren't something I thought I would buy for myself. I tend to lean towards bright colors with lots of bling and glitter potential.
(If you live near St Marys and would like to sign up for the class this coming Friday, send me an email for info.)
BUT.... I just fell in love with this line. It is so lovely and elegant. The colors are so serene together. It worked with a few pics that I have been wanting to scrap.
This BG Class Kit allows you to make a 2 page layout and 2 single pages. What a great addition to my scrapbook!
Here are my two favorites. The first features Paige and is the Bloom and Grow page:
The second features a picture of my friend Michelle and I on New Years Eve. We attended a wedding of our friends Leah and Mark. They looked amazing.... congrats again to them.
Challenge: Use any of the colors featured in the Basic Grey Origins line as the main colors on your next card or layout. Email it to me at thynner5@yahoo.ca to earn a ballot for this months prize draw. A free kit of your choice from weScrap and a Chatterbox Denim Album!! Yummy!!
Due Date: January 31st

weScrap January Kit Reveal & Challenge #3
I have to say how much I love the January kit at weScrap. I love the vintage and Shabby Chic feel this kit has. The iTeam created some amazing layouts using this kit. iTeam Gallery
For a full kit description or for ordering details please click here: Wind Beneath My Wings Kit
The iTeam will be featuring more creations using this kit during the weScrap Crop:
Here is my favorite layout that I created using this kit. It features a wonderful photo of Emmy that my friend Sean Camp took. I used alot of ink and Glimmer Mist on this layout. I loved getting down and dirty for this one. I took a piece to patterned paper and misted it with water and then crumpled it up. I ran two different kinds of ink over it so the crack showed. I then sprayed it with Glimmer Mist. I also used Glimmer Mist on the Dollie. I also inked the edges of the cardstock to get that grungy look.
Quote Reads: " Thine eyes are springs in which serene and silent waters heaven is seen." ~William Cullen Bryant
Challenge: I would like to see a layout that is dirty and grungy. Fold, tear, rip or crumple your pages. You can add some subtle ink or alot. The degree of dirt is up to you. When you are done, email your creation to me at thynner5@yahoo.ca to earn a ballot for this months prize.
I have a great Chatterbox denim album and a kit of your choice from weScrap!!
Due Date: January 31st

Challenge #1 ~ Go Big
Let's start the year off BIG!!
I created the following layout of Emmy to showcase her charm. I wanted to use some big elements on the page to go with just how much charm she exudes in real life. If you've ever been lucky enough to meet my eldest daughter you would know just how true to life this layout is.
I had some wonderful Crate paper that I received from my local craft store, MacPhersons Crafts where I design for and teach. If you live anywhere within the vicinity of St Marys, Ontario be sure to check it out and maybe even sign up for a class or two.
I cut out the lovely flowers and added some amazing dimensional gem pebbles. I love how this layout turned out.
Challenge: Use some big and bold element on your page. Then email your creation to thynner5@yahoo.ca to earn a ballot for this months prize draw. I have a great prize this month. How would you like a Chatterbox Denim Album and a paper kit of your choice from weScrap?? I thought so.
How do you win?? Just become a follower of my blog to automatically earn a ballot. With every challenge you complete during the month you will earn a ballot as well. Sometimes I post easy ways to win such as word games and crosswords. I even just ask for a comment on a certain day for ballots so remember to check in often for more chances.
Due Date: January 31st
Happy Scrapping!
