Celebrate Earth Day ~ Challenge # 5 & 6

The girls and I spent a fun filled day yesterday celebrating Earth Day. We went across to the park with a garbage bag and picked up all the trash that was laying around. We went shopping and purchased some reusable, cotton bags. Our local grocery store is now charging 5 Cents a for a plastic bag!! We have been trying to be more diligent and remember to bring ours whenever we go shopping. Of course, today, the day after Earth Day, I forgot to bring them. D'uh!! My local grocery store lets us "rent" bins to put our groceries in. We purchase the bins and return them the next day for a refund. Way cool!!

I love the idea of using reusable packages on layouts. I love to scour the house for finds to include on my layouts. I adore adding texture to my layouts with cardboard, altering coasters for albums or magnets and using leftover tissue paper and doilies on my pages. I am in the midst of a layout right now that using some reusable materials. You could be amazed at all the stuff you can use. I'll post my layout tomorrow.
