Challenge #3 ~ Vintage

I love it when I come across and old photograph and become inspired to create a layout. I found this old picture of my Dad with my Gran that was taken when he was a young boy. It is such a sweet, loving photograph and it just begged to be scrapped.

If anyone was lucky enough to scoop up the Chatterbox papers before they were discontinued... they make a perfect backdrop for your heritage or vintage layouts.

I have to tell you how happy I was to hear that Melody Ross is still creating lovely paper lines!!

Challenge #3: Create a vintage or heritage themed layout and email it to me at thynner5@yahoo.ca or link it below to earn a ballot for the monthly prize draw.

Due Date: Oct 31st
Draw Date: Nov 1st

March Blog Winner Announcement

I apologize to everyone for the delay in posting the winner. My Dad was quite ill this past week. He is going to be okay but it was scary to see him like that. Thankfully, things will get better.

I enlisted DD to pick this month's winner. We spent quite some time writing the names on strips of paper and cutting them out. We had a total of 95 ballots this month. You girls are awesome and I am really enjoying having you take part in my challenges.

DD sat down and mixed up the ballots:

She reached into the tin and pulled out the winner!!

Is it you?

Congrats to ............................................................................. Jen Benoit!!

Please email your address to me at thynner5@yahoo.ca so I can get your prize sent out.
Thanks again to Sandy at Scrapshotz for an amazing Chatterbox kit!! There are still a few kits left for sale at Scrapshotz!
I will post the first challenge for April tomorrow!

Check This Out!! ~ Challenge #10

I feel so special right now. My friend Michelle scraplifted my Caught layout. She used the same photo as I did. The "bad" boy in the photo happens to be her cute son, Cameron. We had so much fun on our little adventure.
Here is the cute layout she did. I love the way she mixed up all the font styles with her letters and the use of the skull and crossbones fits so well with the theme of the layout. I also love the cool Bo Bunny papers she used. Great job Michelle and thanks again.

Challenge # 10:

I think it's time for a scraplift challenge. I would like to see everyone scraplift any layout on my blog, in my slideshow (located at the bottom of my blog) or any of the March Challenge layouts. I am going to do this as well. I will chose a layout that is in the March Slideshow to scraplift and post it tomorrow.

Email me your scraplifted layout and give reference to the original. Just say who the original layout belongs to. Send it to thynner5@yahoo.ca to earn a ballot for this month's Chatterbox Blog Prize. Yummy... doesn't begin to describe this prize. Please put "Thynner Blog" in the subject line.

Due Date: March 31st
Draw Date: April 1st

Challenge #8 ~ Spring it On

I loved being able to feel the sun on my face this week and walk around with a light sweater. I was able to wear my running shoes outside and not have to lug on my boots and my heavy coat. I am more than ready for spring now.
I had just received my kit from Scrapdango and when I opened it I immediately thought how the colors reminded me of Spring. Here is the first layout I did. It features Paige. This photo was taken a couples summers ago. I was on the phone for a while with a friend long distance. I was sitting on the patio. I could hear the girls laughing and giggling in the house. I glanced up when they came out of the house. Paige was all dressed up in a princess gown and a pretty flower necklace. She had let her sisters put on some make-up and nail polish on her. She was so thrilled and happy. I grabbed my camera and took this great shot of her.

Challenge #8:

I would like to see some spring colors on your next card or layout. Show me the some pretty greens, pinks, purples and/or yellows. It about time we broke out those lovely colors that remind us of green grass and pretty flowers.
Email your creation at thynner5@yahoo.ca to earn a ballot for this month's awesome prize. A complete kit from Scrapshotz featuring the brand new Chatterbox release. It is such a pretty and fantastic prize to win!

She was also responsible for last month's Basic Grey Papers. She tracked down the Paper pack for me when they were sold out and I couldn't find any. She is an awesome person and her kit club is fantastic.
Again... another $50.00 value. Take a look at some of the peeks from the Chatterbox website.
