Final Challenge ~ Feels Like Christmas

I just got home from Christmas shopping with my wonderful Mother In Law and her sweet Hubby! It is our annual shopping trip. We take my darling niece along as well. We start off with a big brunch at The Golden Griddle and when we are all bursting, head out to do some damage. The van slowly gets crowded as we pile gifts and goodies into it.

This always signals the beginning of my Christmas season.

Challenge: Leave me a comment below and let me know what signals the beginning of Christmas to you?

You will earn a ballot for the big Blog Draw that I will be doing tomorrow night after work!! You have until then to post a comment!

  1. So, do you actually manage to finish all of your shopping in one day?!?!

Christmas season for me kicks out with my family holiday parties which were early this year. We're done already!!! Next week I will be putting up my tree as well so that helps bring the Christmas spirit in!!

  3. Just found your blog through weScrap and love it! (good music too) ;-) Christmas for me begins after Thanksgiving is past and cleaned up - when neighbors start decorated and putting up holiday lights, I get more in the mood for the holiday. Since the season of Advent is here, it's a wonderful reason to celebrate life, love and family!

  4. The season seems to start for me with the gift buying. I love hunting for the perfect gift for loved ones and then it all falls into place with the decorating and baking. This year I think our 4 year old will really help out with the level of "spirit". He is so excited already and it's still only November.

  5. For me it's Thanksgiving here in the states....the day after is Black Friday. So many awesome deals out there. I used to go with my mom and sister every year, but since I moved to the other side of the state it's just me...not as much fun, but I still get some great deals. From there it's day to day to get prepared for the BIG day. I am not allowed to start getting the christmas decorations out until December 1st unless dh can take them down the weekend after christmas but I like to have it up for New Years too so I have to wait...LOL

  6. The Christmas season starts for me when I hear that first Christmas carol, whether it is on the radio or in a store or if I get the urge to play a CD. Usually that coincides with the annual Santa Claus parade in mid November.

Thanks for all the great challenges this month!!!!!!! I'm still playing along, although I'm a little slow at getting them done.

  7. Hey T!

For us, Christmas normally starts with the cutting down of a tree. It is such a magical time in the woods with the kids looking for the perfect tree.

  11. Christmas at our house means so many different things but the kick off is certainly the Maple Santa Parade. We then get home and bake some yummy cookies and have hot chocolate.

If you are willing to read I just posted a challenge on my blog for everyone to tell me about their Christmas Traditions. I have so much to write but if you are interested in reading head on over. http://a-day-in-the-life-of-sweet-pea.blogspot.com/

Happy Holidays to you and yours!

  12. Christmas season is off and running as of the day after Thanksgiving. I guess I've just always felt that way and so I have the house decorated at that point and start doing Christmas crafts and activities!

  13. I'm too late.. but had to jump in anyway. What signifies Christmas to me? When I decorate the office. I do that BEFORE my house. That's when I know... yay. It's coming!!!

  14. Oh the Golden Griddle - memories of living in TO. . . but I digress!!! Christmas to me begins with the singing of O Come O Come Emmanuel - that always makes it feel like Christmas is right around the corner!! WHich it is - YIKES!!!!
