Final Challenge ~ Feels Like Christmas

I just got home from Christmas shopping with my wonderful Mother In Law and her sweet Hubby! It is our annual shopping trip. We take my darling niece along as well. We start off with a big brunch at The Golden Griddle and when we are all bursting, head out to do some damage. The van slowly gets crowded as we pile gifts and goodies into it.

This always signals the beginning of my Christmas season.

Challenge: Leave me a comment below and let me know what signals the beginning of Christmas to you?

You will earn a ballot for the big Blog Draw that I will be doing tomorrow night after work!! You have until then to post a comment!

Challenge #10 ~ Cards

I just started writing and addressing my overseas Christmas cards. I want my relatives to receive them in time. As I was putting the postage on them I realized how far behind I am in regards to making my cards this year. I need to devote an entire day to get some more made up. Otherwise... I will be buying boxed cards. I know... the shock!!
How far along are you with your cards?

Challenge:
I would like you to make at least two Christmas cards and either email them to me at: thynner5@yahoo.ca or link on the blog. Please put "Thynner Blog Challenge" on the subject line.

Here are some Great Christmas Quotes I have come across lately:

Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful. ~Norman Vincent Peale

Christmas is a time when you get homesick - even when you're home. ~Carol Nelson

He who has not Christmas in his heart will never find it under a tree. ~Roy L. Smith

The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other. ~Burton Hillis

May the spirit of Christmas bring you peace,The gladness of Christmas give you hope,The warmth of Christmas grant you love.~Author Unknown

Challenge #8 ~ Sketch Puzzle

Most of my scrappy requests have been for sketch puzzles. I happened upon these a few years ago and I get requests all the time to make them up and post them for challenges.

I have created two versions of the same sketch. The first one is a medium version and the second, for you die hard puzzle girls, is a harder one.

Medium Version

Hard Version

If you have any problem with the sketch puzzle send me an email at: thynner5@yahoo.ca and I will send you the sketch.

Once you have completed your layout please email it to me for a ballot for the big Blog Prize!!

Challenge #7 ~ Love

I love a good word challenge. Ally and I post a word every Wednesday on the CCAS Blog as a challenge. It is so much fun to do and to use on a layout.

My word for this challenge is: Love

1 : strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties
2: affection based on admiration, benevolence, or common interests
3: an assurance of love
4: warm attachment, enthusiasm, or devotion
3 a: the object of attachment, devotion, or admiration

I used this word on a layout of Paige and her love of Webkinz. I'll post it in the morning. I am afraid the lighting isn't great for taking a picture right now. :)

My challenge is for you to use this word on your next layout or card. Please email it to me at: thynner5@yahoo.ca to earn your ballot for my $50.00 Blog Prize Draw.

**Deadline for challenges is December 1st**
