Challenge #9: Cluster It

It's my favorite time of the week!! This is when I get to reveal the latest, amazing sketch on the LCOM Sketch Blog!

The wonderful Rochelle Spears created this sketch as our Guest Sketch Creator:

Her challenge was to create your own flower.

Here is the layout I did using her fab sketch:

I decided to cluster my flowers together and combined some homemade ones with Prima and Sasafrass Lass. I hand cut some felt flowers and made a lace ribbon rosette.

Challenge #9: Create your own embellishment cluster on your next layout or card to earn a ballot for the monthly $50.00 gift card draw. You can email it to me at thynner5@yahoo.ca or link it below.

Bonus: Use the above sketch and make your own flower and link it on the LCOM Sketch Blog for a chance to win some lovely papers from Lucky 7 factory. I used some of thier papers on my layout above.

Due Date: Sept 30th

Draw Date: October 1st

Happy Scrapping!

Challenge #16 ~ Cluster It

I love to see when people cluster elements together on a layout or a card. It adds a great focal aspect to the page. It draws the eye to it and can highlight a portion of your layout or card.
In the following layout of Emmy and DD I chose to drawn the eye in to the photo on the left hand side by clustering different floral embellishments. I did this layout for Mon Ame Memories with the June Kit. Love the Glitz and Queen & Company!!

The photo was also taken by Sean Camp at Lucid Musings Photography. He is just so awesome!

Challenge:

Create an embellishment cluster to highlight a certain element of your layout or card. Email ti to me at thynner5@yahoo.ca to earn a ballot for the many sponsored prizes I have this month.

Happy Scrapping!

Challenge #8 ~ The Cluster

One of the things I have been doing lately is making embellishment clusters. That simply means that I love to layer my embellishments together. I love the added dimension and interest this can add to a page.

I did this layout for Scrapdango and I loved how it turned out. I cut the bird image from one of the Webster's Pages Papers that I received with my DT kit. I then stamped on it using my Hero Arts Script stamp (one of my all time fav stamps). I then inked and used Glimmer Mist on the Magestical Memories Frame that was also in the kit. I placed some cool, glittered sheer fabric under the frame and adhered it to my page. I then attached my bird to the frame. I added a gem to the bird for an eye. I then stamped on the flower, added a button and placed it on the frame as well. Viola... and embellishment cluster.

Challenge:
I would like to see you use an embellishment cluster on your next creation. It can be either a card or layout. Email it to me at thynner5@yahoo.ca to earn a ballot for this month's blog prize. I have a wonderful collection of Basic Grey Marakech goodies for one lucky winner!

Due Date: February 28th
Draw Date: March 1st
**Remember that you still have time to do some of the other challenges posted this month to earn a ballot. Any challenge posted in February counts as a ballot.**
