Challenge #14 ~ Color Challenge

I thought it was time to post a color challenge. I was sitting around last night working on my cool Mon Ame DT kit and thought that I hardly ever use the color...... black.

I made this darling layout of my youngest Paige and how sweet she is when she has on her dance costume. This darling photo was taken by my talented friend, Sean Camp of Lucid Musings Photography here in St Marys. He just rocks!! The girls love it when he takes their picture.



I used some great Queen & Co. Black flowers, black gems and lots of Black Soot ink by Ranger. I even altered the Thickers with black ink. I still have ink under my nails but I think it was worth it.

Challenge #12 ~ Black and White

One of the things I like to see is a black and white photograph, especially on a layout.


Here is a layout I just did for Scrapdango using a great shot of my family which was taken by Lori Anne Franklin. I love how the Crate papers make the photo stand out. Notice the sheer, sparkle fabric under my title?? I saved that from a Cinderella Doll my dog unfortunately ate of Paige's. I love how fabric can add some interesting details and texture to a layout!

Challenge:

Please us a black and white photo on your next creation. It can be one that you convert to black and white or an older photo that has been sitting in an album on a shelf.
