Elizabeth Taylor Challenge

One of the movie industries most graceful, talented and beautiful women passed away today. I was always in awe of her as a women and as an actress. If you have ever watched a movie with Elizabeth in it.... you were enchanted. My first movie I saw and loved was "National Velvet". Who could forget the passion between her and Richard Burton in "Cleopatra". They burned the screen up.
I also adored her for her humanitarian work. She was an AIDS Advocate long before anyone else would step up. She was strong and steadfast.

"Big girls need big diamonds." ~Elizabeth Taylor

Challenge: I would like you to be inspired by the above quote and use lots of sparkle and bling on your page. One of the things Elizabeth was famous for was her love of all that sparkles. She had a gem collection to rival most royal families! Email your creation at or link it below for a chance to win a $50.00 gift code to LCOM!

Happy St Patty's Day Challenge

Okay... I admit it.... I hate the color green. I rarely use it on my layouts and sure as heck don't wear it either. BUT.... I love St Patty's Day. I am a sucker for a four leaf clover and a cute little leprechaun.

This layout is the closest layout I ever did using green. It is of my brother and his wife on their wedding day last summer.

Challenge: I would like to see you use the color green on your next layout or card. It must be one of your main color choices and quite visible. Email it to me at or link it below for a chance to win the $50.00 Gift Code from LCOM!

Baubles and Frills Challenge

I just love anything frilly and shiny. I am a total girl in that way. Steve jokes that I was born in the wrong era because I love anything vintage.

I did the following layout for weScrap using thier latest kit called "Her Majesty".

I loved all the extra's that came with the kit. There were some baubles, tulle and some lovely filmstrip. I gathered the tulle and placed it at the bottom of my photo to act as a frame. I added the baubles using brads to my filmstrip. I also had some fabric laying around and made a funky fabric flower!

FYI.... if you purchase this kit you should be aware that the rubons are fussy so please be careful and that you will need extra adhesive for your letter stickers.

Challenge: I would like to see some baubles, frills or other vintage inspired element on your next creation. Email it to me at or link it below to earn a ballot for the $50.00 gift card to LCOM!!

Due Date: April 1st

Once again it is time for the LCOM Sketch reveal!! We had a delicious sketch to work from this week. Please hop on over to the Sketch Blog and take a peak.

Here is my layout that I did based on the sketch:

Close up of the adorable extras:

I used the stunning Little Yellow Bicycle Twig collection which was the kit last month at Scrapshotz!! Thier kits remain to be the best around for value and selection.

LYB Twig Collection papers and elements
Prima crochet doilies
American Crafts Thickers
Glimmer Mist in Riptide

I go through spurts in scrapbooking. Both in what I buy and what I use. Have you noticed you do that as well?

I have buckets and buckets of buttons. Some that I have bought at a scrapbook store to coordinate with certain lines, some from flea markets and even some special ones I claimed after my Grandmother passed away. There was a time when I used buttons on all my layouts. I loved to see how many buttons I could fit on a page. LOL

Challenge #5: Create a layout or card using buttons. Dig into your stash and scrap! Email your creation to me at or link it below for a ballot to win the $50.00 Gift Code.

Quote Challenge

Everyone knows by now that I am a quote hound. I just love them.

March is always the longest month in the year for me. The days seem to drag on forever and the sun begins to tease us that Spring is on it's way. I found this great quote:

"It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade." ~Charles Dickens

It makes me think of flowers, especially tulips:

Challenge: Create and card or layout using this quote and email it to me for a chance to win a $50.00 gift card to LCOM! You can also link your it below. Email me at to earn a ballot. There are lots more challenges to come and therefore lots more chances to win.
